UFC Lightweight contender Frankie Edgar has announced that he will fight at UFC 87 in August.An opponent for Edgar has not yet been named, but Edgar has announced it will be finalized in the next few days.
Edgar currently holds a pro MMA record of 8-1, and is 3-1 in the UFC. Edgar's last fight was against former TUF cast member Gray Maynard, to whom he suffered the only loss of his career, via unanimous decision. Edgar is looking to rebound from this loss with his next fight.
The event takes place on August 9th, with a main event of Georges St-Pierre versus Jon Fitch.
