Fighter Manager Monte Cox has spoken out today, to say that Rich Franklin is considering a move to Light Heavyweight.
The former UFC Middleweight Champion has spoken of this potential move before, and now, according to his manager, he has to make a decision. His possibilities at Middleweight look bleak at present, due to the 2 losses he has suffered at the hands of current champion Anderson Silva. Whilst few doubt his abilities to climb back to the top for another shot, nobody is really ready to see a third fight. This would essentially leave Franklin hanging in the Middleweight division, unable to continue.
There are, however, many exciting possibilities for Franklin if he were to move up a weight class. Franklin is no stranger to this division, as this is where he started his career, and he only suffered one loss to Lyoto Machida. This potential move could add yet more excitement to the already stacked Light Heavyweight Division.
