Pride FC became extinct in 2006 with Zuffa buying out the company and then leaving it to rot. Pride, officially, is no more.Fans have been devastated by this news, now looking to DREAM and World Victory Road to satisfy their Japanese MMA cravings. This week, however, Pride Shockwave 2006 has been released onto DVD, and this is not the last we will see of Pride.
It has also been announced that a total of 12 Pride DVD's will be released over the next eighteen months. Whilst this doesn't bring back Pride, it will at least alleviate the hole that is missing in many fans.
