The Elite XC Title fight between Welterwight Champion Jake Shields and challenger Drew Fickett has had to be cancelled for a second time.
Elite XC have announced that Drew Fickett has suffered a knee injury that has forced him out of the competition. This is the second time this fight has had to be postponed, as Jake Shields suffered a back injury before their last scheduled fight, causing him to withdraw.
An Elite XC official has stated that this fight will be rescheduled a third time, but no date has been given. There has been no mention of a replacement opponent for Shields, or of a fight to take place instead yet. Elite XC are expected to make an announcement regarding this in the next few days. The event is scheduled to take place on June 14th.
