UFC President Dana White has spoken out about Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and his status within the UFC.There has been a lot of speculation amongst fans and the media about when Jackson will fight next, if he will fight again at all, due to the charges he faces regarding his traffic incident in July. Here is what Dana had to say about the issue:
“Of course he’ll fight,” White said. “If he was doing drugs, if he had been drunk, if he had gone out there and done what he did because he was pissed off at someone, that would be a completely different story. But he was ill. And in this company, we support our friends and anyone who works for us when they’re ill and have problems. He was ill, the incident occurred, and now he’s fine."
This is good news for Rampage fans. Rumors are currently circulating that he could be facing Mauricio "Shogun" Rua as early as November. Dana did clarify that he won't be facing Wanderlei Silva in his next fight.
