Randleman Out Of Godz Of War

Former Pride and UFC fighter Kevin Randleman has been forced to pull out of a Godz of War event due to injury.

The bout was due to take place on June 21st in Charlotte, North Carolina. Godz of War have succeeded in finding a replacement in the form of Ricco Rodriguez. Rodriguez will take on former UFC heavyweight Jeff "The Snowman" Monson.

This is another major setback for Randleman, who has suffered many injuries in the past few years. His current injury is a recurring shoulder injury he has suffered with for a few years. He aggravated the injury in training and has been forced off the card. He also suffered other serious health issues such as kidney failure, and a staph infection that left a very large, very deep hole in his chest.

Rodriguez now gets his chance to face Monson for a second time. The pair first met at UFC 35, where Ricco came out the victor. Monson can now look to avenge this loss.

Tito Ortiz Aims To Rebuild Team Punishment

Tito Ortiz has stated that he wants to try to reform his fight camp, Team Punishment, and bring it back to its former glory.
Team Punishment was once known as one of the best fight camps for MMA, due to their roster of fighters and their location up in the Big Bear Mountains.

Tito now hopes to rebuild the camp, which he has somewhat abandoned in the past few years. He is said to have brought Ricco Rodriguez, his former training partner, back to the camp, along with Mark Munoz and Carlo Prater. This is what Tito has to say about the reformation:

"I'm going to find a guy in each weight class from 155 to heavyweight, and try to get the best I possibly can. The brand of Team Punishment is a worldwide known brand, and we're known to punish our opponents. You've got to get the best fighters to do that, so I'm going to go across the United States and go across possibly Europe and try to find some of the best fighters and bring them around Team Punishment. I'm going to start the team again."

"I'm going to go out and find the superstars. I'm going to find the guys who like to succeed as a business and as a fight team,” said the former UFC light heavyweight champion. “I haven't focused on that in the last few years because I've been trying to deal with my demons and ending another chapter in my life. I just want to move on to a different chapter.

“All the negative stuff is gone, and all it is now is focusing on the positive stuff, and to build a new Team Punishment is the first step to that."
