UFC president Dana White has announced in a teleconference that the UFC plans to move into Germany in the near future, amongst other places.
The UFC have so far been very successful in breaking through to new territory. Here is what White had to say about their first venture into Canada last month:
“The Montreal event was big all the way around. We broke records with the venue. I think we broke every record in the venue’s history. Pay-per-views went very well, everything was good.”
After this huge success, plus the expansion into the UK and other U.S. states, it is perhaps no suprise they are looking to newer pastures. Germany is next on the list. White also hinted at plans to stage events in Australia and the Philippines.
“The Philippines is definitely happening, we're working on that right now, Australia and Germany, those three are right now,” he stated. “And now we're starting to focus on doing something in Brazil.”
This news could mean big things for the UFC, and for fans all around the world. Stay tuned for more updates.
