Rumors have been circulating that John Alessio would be fighting Jake Shields for the Elite XC Welterweight belt.Alessio has denied those rumors, stating that he will be unable to fight on the September card due to a broken arm sustained in June against Pete Spratt.
Alessio did, however, state that he will be ready to fight again at Elite XC's October 4th event.
