The fight that WEC fans everywhere have been waiting to see is finally set.Middleweight champion Paulo Filho will fight Chael Sonnen at a WEC event on September 10th. The pair originally fought at WEC 31 in December, where Filho won via verbal submission due to an armbar. Despite the nature of the finish, there was some dispute over the winner of the fight, and the pair were scheduled to rematch in March, but Filho's career took an unexpected turn.
Paulo Filho puuled out of the match and checked himself into a drug rehabilitation facility due to chemical dependancy and depression. Filho spent a few months there and has since been discharged and declared fit to fight. This has cleared the way for the rematch to take place.
